WHY JOIN PSI CHI?
  • Immediate benefits include a receiving a certificate of recognition at our induction ceremony, inclusion of membership on your resume, and eligibility to purchase Psi Chi honor cords to wear at graduation.
  • Long-term benefits include eligibility to apply for Psi Chi specific scholarships, research grants, and travel awards to psychology conferences.  
  • Students interested in gaining more leadership experience are encouraged to run for a cabinet position to help plan and execute academic and philanthropic programming for psychology students at NSC.
  • Several NSC alumni have received over $2,500 to support research in psychology and travel to a regional psychology conference. For example, the NSC Psi Chi Chapter was featured in the Fall 2017 issue of Eye on Psi Chi!

Psychology students who meet the eligibility requirements below are encouraged to apply to the international society of psychology, Psi Chi. Psi Chi's goals include encouraging, stimulating, and maintaining excellence in scholarship and advancing the science of psychology.

Fall 2020 App Deadline = Sept 30, 2020
Fall Induction = October 9th at 5 pm
End of Semester Party= December 11th

​PSI CHI ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
1. Declare psychology as your major or minor.
2. Must have completed a minimum of 45 college-level units (9 of which must be psychology).
3. Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.20 (minimum 3.00 in psychology)

Even if a student does not meet eligibility requirements to be inducted into the international honor society, all students from all majors are welcome to attend any of our meetings or events.
